What the hell is The Uh? Show ?

Why the hell do you have to be so rude when you ask that? The short answer is that it's the coolest show in the whole freakin' world. It may also be the coolest show in the entire Milky Way galaxy, but we are still looking into that. Do you know how much marketing agencies charge for conducting a survey that comprises an entire galaxy (not to mention the size of the sample population required to make the results meaningful)?

The long answer is that The Uh? Show is an alternative/indie rock show on Kettering University's community radio station, 94.3fm, WKUF-LP in Flint, MI. Hosted by the extremely funny and sexy (ladies, he's available) DJ ****** (pronounced "DJ beep" at around 440Hz), The Uh? Show features the best mix of 80's alternative/rock/punk (think The Cure, The Pixies, The Ramones (I know some of these span into the 70's as well, but bear with me)), 90's (think Weezer, Green Day, The Offspring, The Presidents), and today (think yesterday, whatever good music you may have heard on the radio). But the signature theme of the show is its Indie rock backbone, featuring copious amounts of great rock by bands you've probably never heard of. Why have you never heard of them before, you ask? Because, only us cool people get to know about them... until now. That's right, through my show, I give you slightly less cool listeners a reason to live. Here, you'll hear the latest music from the likes of The Plain White T's, The Thermals, Communique, Waltham, OK Go, and many more.

For the very latest, check out the Up and Coming Artist of the Week segment every show, where you can call in and vote on the band you want to be crowned Up and Coming Artist of the Week (following the news at quarter past the hour).

So, in the mean time, feel free to browse around the site, visit the links to sites and free music by past Up and Coming Artists, and talk about great new artists and album releases in the Forums. Show on Hiatus (well sort of)

Alright, so The Uh? Show will be going on a sabatical for the next 9 months. That's right, you heard it. Don't question it, it's beyond everything.

The reason for this being that the great and awesome DJ****** (that's me) will be going to Germany for the next school term. For those of you who may not already know, Kettering University is a very weird and unusual school. Every 3 months, we switch from going to school and going to work (a program known in the trade as a cooperative education) and vice versa. Because of this, many of you listeners are used to the 3 months on, 3 months off rotation of our student-hosted shows.

Thus, for the next 9 months (3 months at work, then 3 months in Germany, then another 3 back at work) I will be gizzone. I will continue to frequent the forums, and try to keep everybody updated on the latest bands to rock izzass.

Also, new idea... since I won't be using the Up and Coming Artist vote thingy I have on the Up and Coming Artist page for the Up and Coming segment on the show, I'd rather it to not go to waste. So if you have any cool ideas for surveys to put on it, let me know.
